ANGLICO fun day

For ANGLICO's meet and greet they had face painting.  The pictures say it all.  Oh and Kevin we drove your truck for this!  There was minimal paint damage.

Some games just don't grow old . . .

Wow isn't it amazing that generation after generation hide-n-seek is still a favorite amongst children.  So the children talked me into playing with them.  Of course we didn't play it like I did as a child, you know going outside and hiding between houses in the dark.  We are smarter than that here in rattlesnake country.  We play in the dark, in the house.  This way only a creepy crawly spider can get you! We played in teams Gavin and me against the girls.

Hope hiding in the closet, at the top of course!

My three seekers!

Team 2 (taking the photo by themselves)

Hiding at the bottom of the closet, we did not need any er visits.

Gavin in his go to spot, under the bed!

Our fun night of hide-n-seek.  What game will we choose next?  Who knows!

My Prince

When you are forced to celebrate your 14th anniversary alone, you should always have a back-up and little man was my prince.  He decided that I needed to have a dance.

My little prince, he was even wearing his daddy's t-shirt.  What a lucky woman I am to have both these amazing men in my life!

Big Bear

Alright better late than never, right?! So I am finally posting our big bear adventure. Yes, I know it has been awhile. Abby reminds me constantly.  Back in the day when my husband was home we went on a family vacation.  Yep, we get all family orientated when an upcoming deployment is staring us in the face.

We had a great time sledding, making snowmen and throwing snowballs at each other. It was a memory packed vacation.  No school, no work, no problems!

New day, New adventure

Yes we tried another outing. What can I say we are a glutton for punishment!  Fishing here we come.
Wow, everyone got along, shocked? So were we!  So the fishing was about a fifteen minute hit, but the park next to the lake was the saver.

Our fishing expedition.

Now on to the park.

Yes even the big kid got to play

Unfortunately, time to go home and do the dreaded school work.

There's always one . . .

Okay, so Kevin finally made it home. All is good with the Stout world, right? Wrong! So my Monday started as one of those days you are pulling your hair out and bouncing your head off the wall.  To try and make things better, we go bowling. Thought process . . . Keep them active, the fighting, whining and everything else will stop.

Now back to the there is always one . . . Hope was the one! Bad day at bowling = CRAZY blonde girl
So of course the good parents we are say, "If you are going to pout you get to sit out, you are done for the game." Her response is I am going home.  I of course remember as a child my running away days and tell her fine just don't cross the street.  (Scene: the bowling alley is on base by a gas station, bbq place, car wash and across the street from Mainside. So very, very busy! )

Hope walks out of the bowling alley, I give her a minute then go to talk to her.  Brave girl really tries to walk home.  She crosses one of the main intersections at the light and everything.  I am so shocked I just stare at her, when I finally get to her. First thing I say, "You better pray that God saves you".  Of course the what were you thinking comes flying out and she simply states, "I told you I was going home and I waited for the cross walking sign".

Well, God saved her but she is grounded until she is old and gray!
